URBAN LEGEND OR NOT???

Like most of you, I too have been sent alarming and oftentimes, very graphic articles that were forwarded by well-meaning, but totally clueless or uninformed ohana members or friends!  Which no doubt, were forwarded to them, by other clueless or uninformed family or friends, atypical of the cyber bandwagon hysteria!  News ranging from cell phone blowups, contracting a flesh eating disease from trying on undergarments or clothing, especially clothing from foreign countries; to bogus fund-raisers for children afflicted with terminal diseases, etc.

If you are a recipient of these type of articles, please don't panic and assume it's true, 99.9% of the time, its not!  For your peace of mind, conduct your own search regarding these urban legends.  For a number of years, we listed Urban Legends on our Favorite Web Logs (located to the left of our Navigation Bar towards the bottom).  Now, you too can be informed and better yet, once that sent article is a proven hoax, forward that proven hoax to your well-meaning ohana or friend, to not only quell that hoax and save them further embarassment, but they too, will be informed and think twice about jumping on that cyber bandwagon hysteria and making everybody "nuts", pua ting!
