In Memorial.....

Our deepest sympathies are extended to my brother inlaw, Allan Almeida (husband of my sister, Noelani) and their ohana, who suffered the recent loss of their mother, Cressie Marie Borge Sylva, who passed away on November 13, 2007.  Cressie was infirmed at Hale Makua at the time of her death and was 88 years of age.  

Cressie lead a private and modest life.....what I found impressive, was the way she kept and carried herself...always reserved but stylish, donning tastefully matching ensemble and jewelry.  She will be missed by all who dared to know her and loved her for who she was, but especially by those privileged and blessed few, who saw the soft-side of her nature and will hold fast to those memories.  

Aside from son, Allan, she is survived by another son, Stanley (Irene) and a daughter, Lucy DeRego (Neal); numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Wake services are scheduled for Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at Nakamura's with public viewing from 8 a.m . to 9 a.m., with services from 9 a.m.- 9:30 a.m., Mass at 9:30 a.m. and burial to follow at Valley Isle Memorial Park.
